Last night my wife and I were lucky enough to find your restaurant. I wanted to express our thanks for not only great service but a meal like none other I have ever had. I had the bison and my wife the seafood pasta. Both cooked to perfection and presented superbly. With most restaurants we generally feel as if we are leaving unsatisfied. It seems there is always something missing. I guarantee with your establishment we did not leave feeling that way. We left with the satisfaction of having one of the best meals we can remember and we look forward to coming back and making Wild Flower a regular stop for our dining experience. Please thank everyone from the host to the chef for a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the delicious cuisine very soon.

Symtek Systems TechnologiesLast week friends of ours, Dick and Jane Heiling, had asked us to join them in what they believed would be of the best dining experiences we would ever encounter. Their experience was based on a recent cooking class they had attended with your chef.
My wife and I spend a great deal of our time with Dick and jane and are always looking for new dining adventures. I say adventures because we never know what we are going to run in to. Little did I know that the evening spent at the Wild Flower Restaurant would be in fact the most memorable , and I might add the most pleasurable dining experience we could ever hope to encounter.
You have succeeded where many have failed to offer comfortable surroundings with courteous and friendly staff followed by a meal which has been prepared in a manner which was a delight to all.
We would like to thank you for a night to be remembered. Please pass on to your staff a note of appreciation and an acknowledgement that they were as much a part of our experience that evening as was the culinary expertise of your chef.
Sincerely ~ Duane and Jill Bettag
Patricia CorriganSt. Louis Post-Dispatch Restaurant Critic"...the cuisine as "American eclectic - a little bit of everything...traditional dishes with ethnic flair, touches of Oriental, French and Mexican cooking styles."
Joe BonwichSt. Louis River Front Times"It's time to continue the RFT tradition by citing my five favorite new restaurants form the past year." Wild Flower: Eclectic American in a funky old corner storefront, not overly pricey, on the southern edge of the Euclid restaurant strip in the Central West End.
The Promise of SpringSt. Louis Post Dispatch"The Wild Flower is easy to like. It's casual, creative and congenial. Obviously, lots of time, love and probably money went into the redecoration. The care that went into the decor has also gone into the service. The menu itself appeals to a wide variety of tastes and pocketbooks. It offers meal-sized salads, gourmet pizzas - thin crust, house made focaccia - and full fledged entrees, complete with potato and vegetable."
John SchneiderSaint Louis Connoiseur Magazine"For years and I was growing up in St. Louis, the corner of Euclid and Laclede, specifically the address 4590 Laclede Avenue, had been the locations of numerous bars and restaurants. All of these establishments were characterized by a very lackluster personality and well entrenched mediocrity in terms of their food. I eventually came to the conclusion that no establishment would ever be good in that corner. Thus, it was when Wild Flower opened up I never ventured through its doors even when my friends told me how good it was. I again let my obstinacy and firm prejudice against locations prevent from trying out the restaurant I had to review, or not eat this past weekend, so I decided I had no choice. With 7:30 reservations on a Friday night in the West End, I knew the restaurant would be tested to it's limit... ...Not trusting the tastes of the masses, of course, we sat down and I still harbored great doubts. As I began to examine the menu, my level of curiosity began to overcome my prejudice and I notice numerous very creative and very enticing dishes... ...Now that the previous decade has vanished into the new millennium, hopefully, some of the overly health conscious will venture out and discover some classical dishes... ...All told, Wild Flower offers exceptional food in a relaxed and hip atmosphere and is a must West End restaurant to visit. The phone number is 314.367.9888, and reservations are highly recommended, particularly on weekends." |
